01.25.12 Written by Gotty™

Even though his music career is perpetually stalled in limbo, Buck’s still got the itch for making music and, thankfully, the knack for crafting quality material. He’s teamed up with DJ Crisis and Drumma Boy to release his new mixtape, Live Loyal, Die Rich Read the rest of this entry »

After years of being confined to 50′s doghouse, Young Buck’s career looks like it could be resurrected by the hands of Rick Ross and MMG. In an interview conducted with HHO, Buck said that he’s working on a mixtape “on behalf of Maybach Music.” Read the rest of this entry »

Trae Tha Truth x Don Cannon – Undisputed Mixtape

05.24.11 Written by TC

Trae Tha Truth is without a doubt one of the most underrated, overlooked, deserving talents of this game. He’s well aware of it so no need to go because it hasn’t steered him away from the quest to get his forthcoming album, Street King on shelves this summer (6.28.11, mark the date!). To celebrate his retail victory, the Houston Astro called up Don Cannon and explicitly instructed he needed some street heat to let the fans know what’s around the corner. Drumma Boy Feat. DJ Paul & Young Buck – “Get Rowdy”

01.27.11 Written by Gotty™

Photo: A. Wieme

Below the Mason-Dixon, folks still get buck, crunk, get throwed, shake things and any other slang terms which denote getting completely loose with it. Movements and music like that help keep the earth tilted firmly on its axis. Read the rest of this entry »

Young Buck – “Came Back” Video

01.06.11 Written by K1NG

I’ve been a fan of Young Buck since before he had a single out of his own. The country drawl that carried out a third of the verses on Beg For Mercy was an intriguing change of pace when set against Banks & 50′s similar New York style. Several years later, I’ve seen his star rise & fall, hoping that one day the Nashville native will find his place back in the Hip-Hop conversation. Read the rest of this entry »

Young Buck – “Came Back”

10.28.10 Written by Gotty™

Part of me has to give it up for Young Buck. With the odds stacked against him, he’s continued putting up the good fight and very quietly releasing bits and pieces of music that are only a notch below his early G-Unit offerings. Read the rest of this entry »

“The Bust” – Review Of Young Buck’s The Rehab

09.24.10 Written by Raj

Long known for being the realest, most gutter member of glory day G-Unit, Young Buck has travelled a long road since parting ways with 50 Cent on less than amicable terms. Determined not to remain a hostage under his own record deal, Buck has managed to independently release his third LP, The Rehab. The low-budget situation is quite the contrast from his earlier efforts, as this is noticeably absent of any big name producers and features. Read the rest of this entry »

Young Buck Gets Baptized In Ghetto Rain

09.08.10 Written by TC

Yeah, this is ass right here. Like pure plumber’s crack. Buck burst upon the scene eager to put his prints on the murder weapons 50 was firing off and this is how we’re rewarded after allowing you to linger around amidst all the sniffing and sobbing? Get sprayed in the park with a garden hose? Angie Stone is the only one we’ll tolerate crooning about the weather. Buck, we need you in a shootout. Read the rest of this entry »

Young Paper Feat. Young Buck – “Dope Boy Swag (Remix)”

05.26.10 Written by Gotty™

The first thing you’re likely to see and remember from a visit to Nashville is “the Batman building.” And if you make it to a local nightclub, one of the neighborhoods or turn the radio dial to one of the few urban stations, Young Paper’s “Dope Boy Swag” will be heard more than once and etch a mark in your memory bank. Commonly referred to as “Tha City Paper,” this track has held the city down since before I posted and is still alive now, no exaggeration. Two days ago, I heard a few kids taking turns reciting the lines, arguing about who he referring to with each line and all that old sh#t. With a remix featuring Buck and a few more hood legends & city locales receiving shoutouts, I fully expect this one play through July’s park & picnic season. Read the rest of this entry »
