Music comes and goes so fast these days that remembering when certain songs or albums came out becomes a blur. Credit or blame such an impression with age of wi-fi, but Trae and Wiz’s “Getting Paid” seems ancient in terms of shelf life. He’s well aware of it so no need to go because it hasn’t steered him away from the quest to get his forthcoming album, Street King on shelves this summer (6.28.11, mark the date!). To celebrate his retail victory, the Houston Astro called up Don Cannon and explicitly instructed he needed some street heat to let the fans know what’s around the corner.
