Yeah it’s that time again.

Too often do we sift through the predictable media cycle of artists yelling how “crazy” their album is or even fixing their lying ass mouths to utter the other “C” word — classic. How about these C’s: cut the crap. Each year, the allure of the album continues to decrease thanks in part to overhyped, superfluous projects that only possess a handful of good songs. Having embarrassed himself publically numerous times, and suffering the ignominy of being dropped from his record label, it’s possible we’ve seen the last of Charles Hamilton. Hopefully dude’s taking a serious time out, perhaps spending some time on Dave Chappelle’s funny farm in rural Ohio. But before being forcibly removed from the Hip-Hop premises, he left behind something for his fans, a record of both his talent and flaws in the disjointed This Perfect Life. If hate was love, Charles Hamilton would be Jay-Z, straight up. Since it’s not, the majority of the Hip-Hop community would have approached The Pink Sonic’s debut album thirsty for blood. Back to the matter at hand. After grinding on dozens…and dozens…and dozens of mixtapes, Charles Hamilton is finally set to put his mouth (and words) where it matters the most — the album. More than likely “Brooklyn Girls” will show up in some shape or form, but this track is being touted as the official first single off his debut This Perfect Life due out June 23rd, 2009.
