I spent a chunk of my day yesterday riding around to some random “new” Vado mixtape that Retro sent me. While it was good, it was basically too much recycled material to keep me satisfied. By night’s end, I was buzzin’ the homie Newz because I wanted an update on Slime Flu. The tempature’s warming, the whip’s windows are coming down so I want new music to accost people with @ red lights & parks. The type of material that makes them stop & acknowledge, then ask “who’s that?” Out of a lot of these artists out right now, Vado has a voice that’s captivating enough to motivate that type of questioning and anticipation.
The best news I got was that Slime Flu was near competition and on the way. Also, it looks as if they’ve already bagged a video to “Large On The Streets,” directed by Arm & Will Pu for FM15 Films. So while there’s been a good bit of buzz surrounding his name as of late, we’re on the brink of hearing a full dosage of his music soon. My senses say that this guy will be able to “all like he John Wall,” just like he professes. For now, we indulge in the short anticipation clip of the vid & patiently wait the wait for the full tape.
