If you’re even slightly familiar with Gary, Indiana, then you know it’s basically the portion of Chicago the cops aren’t liable for. And since art imitates life, Freddie Gibbs being a product of a legitimate “Murdaville,” composes his music in the form of reality raps — without it sounding like it was derived from a Hughes Brothers flick.
