“Every song I do with him [T-Pain] he better have Auto-Tune on there.” — Lil Wayne
On the same hard drive which contains Weezy‘s Juelz partnered project, I Can’t Feel My Face, and Blood Brothers with Game likely lies his T-Pain collaborative effort, T-Wayne. Who knows if we’ll even have the opportunity hear the full project anytime soon with Weezy’s looming bid and Pain’s sabbatical from mainstream music already months in motion. Regardless, I’m still a fan of the project, so a leak here and there won’t result in many complaints from me.
They’ll never be confused for dead prez, but this dreaded up duo does have the ability to craft quality tracks together. Introspective lyrics aren’t what they’re going for. Instead, “Damn, Damn” uses this instrumental hand crafted by Tha Bizness to speak on a subject they’re both familiar with – women. An updated “Can’t Believe It” is what the vibe of the song encompasses. With the crooning and Auto-Tune, this track seems more suitable for the intoxicated ride home (no drinking & driving though) than the start of your night out on the town.
