Over the last four years I’ve spent approximately an entire week engulfed in ABC’s mind-melding mainstay Lost. I know, reading that, you probably think I’m nuts. But, really, JJ Abrams‘ has thrown so many equally minute and monstrous intricacies into this sidelined storyline, I’m left with no choice but to rent the DVDs and grab a sack of seaweed to accompany all previous episodes in order to play catch up before each new season debuts. I’m not one for watching TV shows on a weekly basis. I have a shitty memory so I tend to forget what happens from week to week and my schedule is so erratic that I’m bound to miss an episode or two. Instead, I opt to wait till a particular season of a show is over and cop the DVD to watch it all at once on my own schedule. I did this with Heroes Season 1 and became a fan of the show. I wanted to continue this technique once Season 2 hit the stands earlier this summer…but seeing as how it’s a recession and errbody broke © Jeezy, I had to miss out on Season 2.

Fortunately, the strike-shortened season meant that I didn’t miss that much. The one hour special at the beginning of the Season 3 premiere last night also went a long way to helping people catch on to the most recent events. Read the rest of this entry »
