I love how Supreme can take the oddest of items, emboss them with their logo and suddenly that thing is coveted. Pictures of a few randoms from their Spring/Summer ’10 collection, including a moleskine, 5 panels from their always well-received headwear selection and a pair of nunchucks. When Hip-Hop fans think of hot weather, anthems like “Dear Summer” or “Summertime” end up on most people’s list. The Summer has a bond with fresh gear and the lyrics can back up that argument. But why is that? The artist formerly known as the “Fresh Prince” knew the deal: scantily clad summer bunnies motivate dudes to look sharp. So for the Summer edition, I brought in founder of online lifestyle magazine CtotheJL, Chris Lee, to give his suggestions.

Winter’s dying down thankfully (Southwest U.S. readers disregard) so I had to re-up with another batch of gear picks for you guys. This time around, I enlisted Felson & Jason, the editors of SwipeLife, a men’s lifestyle website. After reading their work, I honestly had to step back and admit, I don’t know jack when it comes to next level schwag. Thankfully we got them here to break down their picks for Spring ’09.
Here’s what they have to say about their season selections:
Spring can only mean three things – sunny weather, more outdoor activities and pretty girls in skirts. And when it comes to those pretty girls in skirts, you definitely should know how to clean up if you want to get noticed at least. Spring weather will always call for brighter colors, but you don’t have to look like a bag of Skittles to get your fashion statement across. Remember to go light on the hues and always mix with neutrals for balance. Earth tones never fail as well, so play it safe within the spectrum of tans and greens if you’re unsure.
HATS — For Spring, try on lighter colors and new patterns like seersucker or summer plaid. Don’t like fitteds? Try snap backs, five panels or drivers caps. Here are some of our choices.

Starting off the new year right, TSS is going in hard and what better way to do that than to introduce new segments into the fold. I, for one, am not the authority when it comes to gear. Luckily, I have some peoples who are. So I hit up my man Romeo “Rex” Tanghal, a major New York designer at Marc Ecko – maybe you heard of the brand. Jokes aside, I asked him what he thought about this winter season and he made some suggestions that would put you ahead of the rest in looking your best for the ’09.
What Rex says about this upcoming season:
“Fuck talking bout the recession… that shit IS depressing. Time’s have been tough, and it’s about time we dress appropriately. We’re backing our dude come 2009 as part of the clean up crew and there’s a sense of pride in the air. American heritage is back. Workwear is back. High-end fashion labels and small streetwear labels alike are taking note and producing their own take producing tough clothes with functional details. Think back when your favorite emcees used to rock Polo, Carhartt, Woolrich and Dickies and there you go.”

Head Gear — For winter there’s always the quintessential beanie. It comes in all forms and can be found on every corner…but if you find the need to stand out the crowd, it’s all about hunting down the “Elmer Fudd” version of your favorite style of cap.
