12.29.10 Written by Raj

For those of you who didn’t get exactly what you wanted for Christmas, it’s not too late. The Scrooge McDuck turned Santa of Hip-Hop, Dr. Dre, has opened the vault and let loose another more highly coveted record for your listening pleasure. But the heavyweight headliners – 50, Hov, Dre, and Em – are the obvious main attractions. Read the rest of this entry »

Stat Quo – “Ridin’”

05.04.10 Written by Gotty™

The new formula, ask Doc…Pockets got saline shots, bank account on Botox, the grind just don’t stop.

If anyone deserves the right to rap over a reinvented Dre track, it’s Stat since he’s spent time as an Aftermath detainee and is still contributing to the urban legend that is Detox. By the second, all thoughts of the original are over as the beat flips, thanks to Focus. And by then, Stat’s delivered enough rhyming couplets and similes to remind you why he’s one of Hip-Hop’s go-to ghostwriters and an emcee of rare breed. Read the rest of this entry »
