808′s and Heartbreak could have been great. I’m not part of the school of thought that thinks the album is a grand failure that is a blemish on Kanye’s record. However, I believe that Yeezy could have hit the same emotional points with better lyricism and a more compelling presentation if he stuck to spitting.

Good thing Drake is around to show us just how great that kind of album could be by dropping three minutes of introspective, emotionally charged bars over the “Say You Will” beat. Read the rest of this entry »
