Am I the only one who completely forgot that the then Charlotte Hornets drafted Kobe when he came out of high school, then traded him to the Lakers for Vlade Divac?

Even if I did forget, Nike didn’t, as they’re planning to release these Kobe IV’s in purple & teal just to commemorate the event, complete with the draft date on the heel tab. Ouch.

adidas has been lightyears ahead of other sneaker brands when it comes to collaborating with outside designers, allowing them to use the sneakers as palettes. On these, Japanese designer Kazuki Kuraishi, in association with Neighborhood, puts in work to make the magic happen, bringing life to a clean silhouette. Set to release in August.
