The iPod Shuffle – “Move On (Remix)”

05.28.11 Written by Beware

My, how things change. About this time two years ago, the then-recently-formed four-headed monster known as Slaughterhouse was going on a rampage, destroying anything they touched. One victim they kept in-house was Joey and Joell’s candid collabo from Ortiz’ Free Agent mixtape, “Move On,” which was reworked to add in the additional two butchers. Read the rest of this entry »

Eminem Feat. Slaughterhouse & YelaWolf – “2.0 Boys”

03.02.11 Written by Raj

Disregard everything on the Slaughterhouse EP. That was just some filler cuts to get out of their E1 contract. With their Shady deal in full bloom now, everyone’s back on their A-game. Read the rest of this entry »

Eminem Boosts Shady Records With Slaughterhouse & Yelawolf In XXL

Pardoning the obviousness of 2011 barely being a few weeks old, Eminem and XXL have made the biggest annoucement of the year with a simple pictorial statement. Read the rest of this entry »

Obie Trice – “LeBron On”

01.11.11 Written by Beware

As creatures of instinct, humans automatically flip a switch when backed into corners. One rapper who’s well aware of this fight or flight approach to life is Obie Trice. Never one for gimmicks, this Michigan man has felt his fair share of pressure in business and out, yet has always persevered through the fog. Bringing that same resilience to “Lebron On” – his second song of the promising, new year Read the rest of this entry »

I’m Not Impreeeeesed: Eminem’s 2011 Grammy Promo Commercial

01.07.11 Written by Beware

Whenever anything Em drops, the reiteration by the media is so thick, I just assume you’ve already seen Slim’s commercial for The 53rd Grammys. If you haven’t, I’ll save you the trouble. For thirty brow-lowering seconds, viewers are driven through a beta version of Marshall Mathers’ virtual reality existence, which is reminiscent of a phased out clunker from Universal Studios. Eminem & Royce Da 5’9″ – “Living Proof”

11.15.10 Written by Beware

Channeling an audible aggression once perfected by their fallen comrade, Marshall Mathers and Nickel Nine bring back their bad & evil act for this nuclear new millennium on the freshly leaked “Living Proof.” Bragging, boasting and than dragging roasted bodies over string strikes and guitar riffs similar to a certain Doctor we dig, these two Detroit legends basically put on a clinic for every other MC holding a pen. What to make of the tagged treat, only time will tell. Read the rest of this entry »

Slim & Fifty Prank Lloyd Banks

09.27.10 Written by Beware

Instead of just handing Lloyd Banks his well-deserved Gold plaque for “Beamer, Benz, Or Bentley,” Curtis and B Rabbit go all Ashton Kutcher and make the hottest member of G-Unit believe there had been murmurs of him saying he didn’t want Eminem to make an appearance on his third album, Hunger For More II. It’s questionable whether or not this was staged, but it’s pretty good nonetheless.

What’s also funny is the fact that Banks has two more hit singles than his boss and doesn’t have to do songs with Soulja Boy or Lil B.

Aftermath Knows How To Vibe

08.02.10 Written by Beware

Considering the amount of clout Doc Dre and Eminem possess, I could’ve easily come up with a catchy tag line to try and trick you into checking out this post. But, instead of saying “Eminem Worries About His Own Death,” “Dr. Dre Drops Exclusive Information About Detox,” or even “Aftermath’s Leading Artists Share Needles For Vibe’s Juice Issue,” I instead opted to let this rare combo cover (and interview sample) speak for itself. Saying how dope Recovery is to all your homeboys is not the same as supporting Eminem so quit lying to yourself. You’re well aware of the album’s superiority to any other release so far this year, because you’ve burned twelve copies for your crew and gave one to your dad for Father’s Day. While we may be partial to Pill’s prescription, it’s still nice to see Em visiting the doctor’s office a little more and pushing his drugs to youth. 2K10 will unveil his 2nd Relapse, but for now, he’s offering up some leftover refills from the first one, available just in time for Christmas. “Crime Wave” – Review Of 50 Cent’s Before I Self Destruct

11.21.09 Written by TC

before-i-self-destruct

It’s been a long yet lucrative road to the release of Before I Self Destruct, 50 Cent’s much documented final record on his Interscope contract. Possibly the genre’s last mega-star before Hip-Hop was regressed by the digital age, 50 saw endless mounds of success through business ventures, movies and of course, platinum plaques. Although less notably, popular opinion reads that the caliber of his albums have slipped considerably since his towering debut, Get Rich Or Die Tryin’. Especially when factoring the runaway success of the lead single “In Da Club”–a phenom 50 has been obviously been trying to duplicate ever since. Taken all this into account, the G-Unit general retreads his steps to familiar waters for his 4th LP. Read the rest of this entry »

Video: Eminem’s Banned “Relapse” TV Commercial

05.17.09 Written by Gotty™

They say “banned.” I say “it’s cheaper and easier to put a clip like this on the net to let it spread viral way.” Banned seems like a stretch because it’s only Em sitting in a tub of V8 and I’ve seen more blood on Grey’s Anatomy (Yo! Izzie lives). Nevertheless Read the rest of this entry »
