YC the Cynic is no blockhead. While some are not yet up on his wit and wordplay, YC keeps coming through with audible delights to keep even the most jaded hip-hop fan dancing like Snoopy on top of Schroder’s piano. In this case, he teams up with Brooklyn’s Sene for the first cut off his upcoming mixtape Fall FWD. The production duo 2 Hungry Bros sets up the football with a rollicking beat based around a James Brown sample, and YC connects to kick it out of sight.

True words indeed. Fall FWD hits the net in the near future. YC’ll be there to beat the beats and spin the game around like Charlie Brown after a line drive up the middle.

Directed by Mupalia Pictures, “Tick Tock” is the first visual from Co$$ and Numonics Revelations project. Coming through with aptly-titled music for the holiday travel season, South Florida producer Numonics partners up with Brooklyn’s Sene for “Departure Time.” The rich orchestral feel sets the aural scene for Sene’s smooth flow. The chune is featured on Numonics’ upcoming release Being Cool Doesn’t Pay The Bills, which will be presented by IM KING and releasing for the free in January 2010.
