Always unappreciated but never undervalued, Freeway played Roc-A-Fella’s wingman steadily for a good 7 years. There was a time when Roc-A-Fella had pretty much all my playlists in figure-four leg locks. There was a time when it seemed like every member in the crew was determined to churn out an anthem or two before passing the mic to the next consigliere and ultimately back to their godfather.
