Guess Who’s Bizzack: 20 Of Rap’s Best Comeback Albums

07.27.11 Written by TSSCrew

Rap’s had more than its fair share of artists who found success and then fell off after failing to recapture the musical magic. Remember how great Big Daddy Kane’s career was before and after Prince Of Darkness? Thought so. For every few that have taken a tumble from the mountaintop, there are others who were able to find their ways back to peak performances. Here are 20 albums which mark the return to form for a few of rap’s best talents. Read the rest of this entry »

Eminem Loses His Religion Over Sasha Grey In The “Space Bound” Video

06.24.11 Written by TC

Marshall was on site when Sasha Grey put the voodoo on Vincent Chase, but he figured he could fare much better with seductive temptress of rebellious pop culture. Not exactly the smart choice. Or was it? There’s a proverbial fork in the road when dealing with relationship crisis and lucklily for Eminem, director Joseph Khan’s magic allows for both possibilities to be played out accordingly. I’m Not Impreeeeesed: Eminem’s 2011 Grammy Promo Commercial

01.07.11 Written by Beware

Whenever anything Em drops, the reiteration by the media is so thick, I just assume you’ve already seen Slim’s commercial for The 53rd Grammys. If you haven’t, I’ll save you the trouble. For thirty brow-lowering seconds, viewers are driven through a beta version of Marshall Mathers’ virtual reality existence, which is reminiscent of a phased out clunker from Universal Studios. Welcome 2 Detroit: Eminem Live At Comerica Park

01.03.11 Written by Raj

It’s common knowledge that years of relentless performing led Eminem to his multiple drug dependencies and four year hiatus from Hip-Hop, and since then he’s been notoriously known to very, very rarely grace the live stage. So naturally when Marshall and Hov linked up for the Home And Home tour in Detroit and New York, Hip-Hop went completely bananas. Read the rest of this entry »

The One Drug Eminem Can’t Quit

12.31.10 Written by J. Tinsley

Sometimes the dream of making it is more fun than it is to actually make it…

If there is one thing about Eminem that has remained consistent over the years, it is the fact that he hates the idea of being “famous.” He opened up about it on 2002′s “Say Goodbye Hollywood” and the ill effects of his international star power have repeatedly shown themselves since. The Hip-Hop Grammy Family For 2011

12.02.10 Written by TC

The question was raised in a recent discussion if a Grammy still mattered. Now granted, the fast-paced Internet has tossed a lot of hoopla and huff in our peripheral scope. So much to the point where every award and accolade begin to get clumped together into one big lump of routine kiss-ass. But don’t think for a second there’s not an artist living who doesn’t want to be recognized on music’s biggest stage for doing exactly they’ve been doing. Read the rest of this entry »

Eminem & Rihanna Are Bringing Back The Burn

10.20.10 Written by Beware

A fellow employee’s cell phone during the middle of a meeting at work. Being sung obnoxiously by grown men in an ATL-area mall. A million entranced fans at the concert of the decade. Over the past month, those have been just a few of the places I’ve unwillingly heard Marshall and Ri-Ri’s anthem of neglect, “Love The Way You Lie,” leading me to the assumption that my personal playing of the song is no longer necessary. Eminem Feat. Rihanna – “Love The Way You Lie” Video

08.06.10 Written by MZ

For all the talk about Em’s redemption from drugs and what not, that never really mattered to me. Relationships are what have really fueled his career. Whether the subject was Debbie, Kim, Hailey Jade, his friends or some fictional situation, navigating his dysfunctions gave much needed balance to all the off the wall sh#t he spewed elsewhere on his discs. Aftermath Knows How To Vibe

08.02.10 Written by Beware

Considering the amount of clout Doc Dre and Eminem possess, I could’ve easily come up with a catchy tag line to try and trick you into checking out this post. But, instead of saying “Eminem Worries About His Own Death,” “Dr. Dre Drops Exclusive Information About Detox,” or even “Aftermath’s Leading Artists Share Needles For Vibe’s Juice Issue,” I instead opted to let this rare combo cover (and interview sample) speak for itself. “Not Afraid” – Review Of Eminem’s Recovery

07.07.10 Written by TC

Eminem made his initial mark in the music world by brandishing his scars from hitting rock bottom, but the innards of fame were what ultimately brought the Detroit-bred MC to the lowest of lows. Nearly meeting his demise at the hands of a lethal drug addiction, Em climbed back in the Hip-Hop ring to spew out Relapse, a wacked-out skills exhibition set that masked his eternal pain through the guise of the Slim Shady lampoon. Done flirting with the make believe, Eminem faces the music with Recovery, an album which realistically marks the first Marshall Mathers LP heard in some time. Read the rest of this entry »
