As I write this, Usain Bolt of Jamaica is the proud owner of a gold medal in what was supposed to be a monumental showdown in the 100 meter dash. Tyson Gay, his main rival and also a gold medal favorite apparently deleted that email, not even qualifying for the final by placing 5th in his semifinal heat.
