I hate to admit it but I didn’t grow up in a rap friendly home. As much as I’ve always loved the music, if it wasn’t along the likes of MC Hammer or DC Talk my mom wasn’t having it. It was cool when it was just me and my dad; we would watch Rap City or the Box, at least until my mom came home.
