Here’s another reason why Japan is far superior than the rest of the world. To celebrate Manhattan Records’ 30th anniversary, they brought together legendary producers Pete Rock & DJ Premier for a once-in-a-lifetime DJ battle. I’m not expecting Roc Raida-level cutting and scratching but, as the video suggests, this will be an all-out party rocking event for the ages.

I’m doing my best to find someone to sponsor me to get over to Tokyo on May 2nd for this monumental jam. Any takers?

Not sure if there are any future indications that you can read from this but seeing Mecca & The Soul Brother together again on stage is sight for sore eyes…and sweet sounds for the ears.
