Manny Pacquiao is the new Bo Jackson – well, at least with sneakers.

Surprisingly enough, the two have another thing in common. Although Manny didn’t play two sports like Bo did with baseball and football, the fighter can at least understand a similar balancing act now that he’s a congressman in his native country, the Philippines. These are a very nice tribute to the recently retired Ken Griffey, Jr. Paying homage to his contributions as an athlete and endorser, Nike creates a pair of Trainer 1.2′s, done in conventional Mariners’ colors of medium grey-fresh white-teal. The cherry on top? The cap cocked to the back – just like The Kid would do it – hanging off the last “0″ in the “600″ on the heel (a nod to his 630 career homers). Read the rest of this entry »
