Hitting the pavement may be an afterthought for most but the Free Run+ 2′s were built with runners in mind. No running for me but I wore my Challenge Reds yesterday to do intense walking and errand-running. Cosign the comfort on these without a doubt. Lightweight and durable, the latest Free model now gets a “City” theme, set to represent running clubs of select cities and my aim’s to acquire one or two of the five part release. When first word on the Free Run+ 2′s dropped, I knew these were being copped. They landed on my doorstep on Tuesday and yesterday I took them out for a walk plus quick photoshoot before un-DSing them. We don’t Fat Joe kicks around here and no shoe stays on ice either. I think I told Teef or somebody that I watch the tracking number, know when the UPS man is coming and have a hat and white tee waiting. Yeah, it’s that bad. Always has been and always will be.

Unfortunately, things will only get worse. They’re comfortable, have a decent MSRP…and the “make your own” option just dropped on NikeID.

Nike’s Free Run+ 2 is set to hit retailers over the next few months with at least nine new colorways. On the tech side, the design team took the human foot as their model, designing the upper after the anatomy of the human foot, the upper mimicking the ligaments, muscles, and bones.
