The Night Derrick Rose Took Home The MVP

03.27.11 Written by J. Tinsley

Call me a lot of things when it comes to being a NBA fan. A Miami Heat bandwagoner? That’s fair. A LeBron James stan? I’d say so. A Boston Celtics hater? With every fiber of my being. However, when I noted Derrick Rose was playing at a MVP-level in November, I meant it. Read the rest of this entry »

Meet Mason, The Baby Basketball Genius

11.10.10 Written by Darius Sinclair™

The current generation of toddlers never ceases to amaze. When DS Jr. learned his ABC’s at two, I was sure he was genius baby. But the young savant in the video below really has something special, spouting off the whole Milwaukee Bucks entire roster – coach and GM included. Read the rest of this entry »

Countdown To Tip Off: 5 NBA Games To Watch This Season

08.03.10 Written by J. Tinsley

Forget the very real possibility of a NBA lockout for the moment. David Stern has been using this offseason to make sure he keeps his league in the news. One thing we’ve learned about the NBA this summer is that they apparently have a thing for TV specials. Stern may have not been the biggest fan of LeBron’s version, but he’s obviously a supporter of the results it produced. Following suit this evening, the opening week and Christmas Day games will be unveiled during an hour long special on NBA TV at 7 p.m. Read the rest of this entry »

TSS 2010 NBA Playoff Preview: The First Round – Part One

04.17.10 Written by TSSCrew

It’s time for the NBA playoffs and it couldn’t have come at a better time.  Baseball’s just warming up & a few months from warranting paying attention to it.  Only thing popping off with football is the draft & spring practices in college.  Hockey’s playoffs have begun, but you can’t even find those games on TV if you wanted to.  The Lakers appear to be in prime position to repeat, but there are capable teams in both conferences standing in the wings & waiting to take it off their hands.  Which makes the NBA playoffs the hot ticket, the intensity picks as the O’Brien trophy is the ultimate prize. Child Abuse: Bogut Dunks On A Baby

03.10.10 Written by J. Tinsley

It’s taken him a few years, but Andrew Bogut may finally be turning into the player the Bucks drafted first overall in 2005. The past few weeks the guy has seemingly been a double-double waiting to happen. Last Friday, I stumbled upon great seats to the Bucks/Wizards game. Granted the home team was horrible, but the beer was good and seeing Bogut play in person leads me to believe he will be an All-Star in 2011. If BJ3 progresses as expected, the Bucks could really be looking at one of the league’s most promising 1-2 combos.

As for Glen Davis, well, I can’t say I’m not happy he got dunked on. I’ve been salty towards everything Boston Celtics related since Paul Pierce proclaimed himself the best player on the planet after their title run. Whatever California chronic he was smoking when he said that, feel free to pass the dutchie to the left. The best thing about this dunk though? The stumble afterwards. It’s like it happened in slow motion. Where’s the “And 1” guy with the horn when you need him?

Somewhere, Darko Milicic sits in a damp, cold basement with the best of Eric Clapton on repeat searching for the meaning of life. A pack of Newport 100′s and scotch to numb the pain and embarrassment, as well. Such is life for the second coming of Michael Olowokandi.

Video: Bryant Beats The Bucks At The Buzzer

12.17.09 Written by Gotty™

Kobe had 39 points last night but none more important than the final two with the clock winding down in OT, giving the Lakers the W over the Bucks. A few minutes previous, Mr. Mamba missed a nearly identical shot to end it in regulation. Redemption served…on ice if you’re a Bucks fan.

LOL @ Odom jumping around like a fourth grade schoolgirl immediately after the shot. SMH @ the Bucks’ announcer saying “Miss it!”

TSS NBA Preview 2009: Eastern Conference

10.27.09 Written by TSSCrew

The NBA Season is still young and TSS is keeping the ball in play. We hit you off with the West, now it’s time to bicker about the Eastern Conference Standings. The East is has a top heavy talent pool but it’s full of compelling storylines that’ll keep you tuned in. The Celtics are back, healthy and ready for another run at the chip. Meanwhile LBJ is still climbing for the mountain top while Orlando knows what it takes to get there. But screw all that serious stuff. Gilbert Arenas is back ladies and gentlemen. Who knows what kind of off the wall antics he’s capable of pulling this year? Hold that thought and check out our picks. Read the rest of this entry »
