Back in the day, diggin’ in the crates meant when you found some sort of unearthed sample ready to be transformed into groundbreaking Hip-Hop, it was yours and yours alone for the sole glory. In the age of the Internet, the same chop, loop or break you’re eyeing could very already be in the process of being worked on. Just last year, British synthpop duo La Roux created a timeless, disco number named “In For The Kill” which went on to be remixed by dubstep wonder Skream. I’m more than *dead* at this video. Moreso than even *Jojo @ 1:50* at this video. I feel as though I just lost a fight in Mortal Kombat and Shang Tsung has ripped my soul of my body. Then gang-banged it.

Major Lazer and Elephant Man are bad bad men. Bad enough to try their hand @ reworking Beyonce’s Grammy-winning number. The results are actually quite nice as Elephant Man chants over the track, banishing away evil. And while he grumbles, the production duo punctuates the lyrics with precise drum licks.
