DJ Drama x L.E.P. Bogus Boys – Don’t Feed Da Killaz Vol. 3

10.31.10 Written by TC

As Michael Vick exposed onto the world, meticulously starving a rabid animal will make them fierce and deadly competitors. With a hunger of a great magnitude, the dedication becomes more intense. The goals and objectives become more clearer and instincts more sharp. Sort of like the Bogus Boys from the low end parts of Chicago. Read the rest of this entry »

“A thug changes…and love changes…and best friends become strangers…” ~Nas

There’s no honor amongst thieves in this dirty game. After pulling off a near fatal Chicago Job, who woulda thunk that a LEP Brother would turn Cain on his brother? They used to fight for building blocks now they fight for blocks that make a killing. The love of money can lead to some chilling ransom moments as Coodie & Chike so brilliantly depict here. The A3C Aftermath

10.12.10 Written by Gotty™

Festival fatigue has lingering effects that last for days and beset even the staunchest of music fans. The consecutive days of blaring bass, constant standing while nodding along to whatever beat’s playing, shaking more hands than a stumping politician, the lack of sleep & the consistent blur of it all create a war of attrition that few if any can survive without coming back feeling that perpetual motion feeling that’s similar to initial few minutes after having exited a swimming pool. Even days later, my wife yelled to have me assist with a chore and I immediately threw my hands in the air as if she were an emcee dictating what my response should be. Read the rest of this entry »

Even though A3C was at the forefront of our minds this week, we still had work to do around here:

– To the surprise of no one, Kobe picked himself to win in one-on-one against LeBron.

Patrick Chung helped convince Bill Belichick that Randy Moss was expendable. Read the rest of this entry »

L.E.P. Bogus Boys – “Going In For The Kill” Video

10.04.10 Written by TC

When you’re a Low End Professional, it’s either all or nothing. The Bogus Boys from Chicago never shy from doing a little dirt if it’ll earn them a clean slate in the end. And as you can see in the video for “Going In For The Kill,” they’re not messing around when it comes to making money in the rap game (figuratively and literally). That’s a lot of dough. Where else do you think Ginger got it to steal? Read the rest of this entry »

L.E.P. Bogus Boys Have Their Own Low End Theory

10.01.10 Written by TSSCrew

Words by C. Paicely

Before Freddie Gibbs made grittiness hot again, the L.E.P. Bogus Boys were making noise with street-inspired rhymes that could only come from the roughest parts of Chicago. They’ve lost two members to gang violence over the years, but the Low End Professionals still spit Tupac and Scarface-inspired rhymes like it’s 1994 and it works for them. You’ll feel like you’re in a time warp listening to them. The good kind. Think: Back To The Future, not Time Cop. Read the rest of this entry »

The Battle For La Roux Supremacy

09.15.10 Written by TC

Back in the day, diggin’ in the crates meant when you found some sort of unearthed sample ready to be transformed into groundbreaking Hip-Hop, it was yours and yours alone for the sole glory. In the age of the Internet, the same chop, loop or break you’re eyeing could very already be in the process of being worked on. Just last year, British synthpop duo La Roux created a timeless, disco number named “In For The Kill” which went on to be remixed by dubstep wonder Skream. The subsequent remix was slowed down and sauteed to just a simmer of a fiery vocal effect—perfect for any rapper to go in, well, for the kill. Read the rest of this entry »

L.E.P. Bogus Boys Feat. Kobe – “Shotty” Video

09.14.10 Written by TC

TC has nice little Mossberg® and plenty of 3-inch shells in his closet so he can definitely relate to this. Back to bring hell on earth where Hav & P left off are the L.E.P. Bogus Boys. They said you can’t feed killaz, so these two are running amuck until Halloween when their tape is unleashed unto the underworld. Read the rest of this entry »

Journey with Gary, Indiana’s finest 360° on the authentic gangsta tip. The OG mixtape was a rawer-than-sushi shootout designed for your weed smokin’ joyrides through the mind of the methodical genius. Where as Str8 Killa, presented a more concise and direct scope through Freddie Gibbs’ songmaking merits. And now, we have the full-length project stripped of its street décor to give your EP the missing pieces to the studio quality puzzle. Read the rest of this entry »

With the current anticipation and excitement surrounding this here release, nothing more needs to be said. But we’re going to say it anyway. Freddie has ascended to this milestone because you, the fan have given him enough support with his artistic craft and not forced him to compromise his core values when it comes to displaying his talents on the microphone. Directed by Coodie of Creative Control, a new video for “Ginger” from Chicago’s L.E.P. Bogus Boys and their upcoming street album, Don’t Feed Da Killaz 3.
