Last night marked the opening of the 2009 NBA season, so of course, the champions received with their rings. And, of course, Nike gave Kobe a special pair of shoes…because that’s what sneaker companies do for top-dollar, accomplished athletes, they worship the ground they walk on and gift them with things.
