As the dust from the Late Night Wars finally begins to settle, one residual blow is being taken to Jay Leno’s refurbished Tonight Show. There are reports that Kevin Eubanks – Jay’s chuckling bandleader for the past 14 years – will not be riding shotgun during Leno’s second tenure as host. Apparently, the primetime bandleader doesn’t want to be an accessory to robbery.

With the Tonight Show band gig now open and The Roots already taken, maybe Hip-Hop will get another late night look.

Maybe it’s been the amount of free time I’ve had this week, but I’ve been catching up with this television show called The News and it’s pretty interesting. I’ve learned a lot. The biggest thing I’ve learned has been that there are a lot of people out in the world that suck. Not in the sexy way either.

Then, the wildest thing happened the other day. I was walking around the woods and some guy named Virgil took me on a trip. Cliff’s Notes Version: Jay Leno gave his show to Conan. Jay’s new show sucked. Jay wants his show back from Conan. Conan’s show doesn’t suck. Jay gets Conan’s show.

Jay Leno gave Kanye a chance to apologize once again after coming down from his liquid courage outburst last night.  Regardless of whether it was staged or not, Leno scored a coup with this happening before the debut of his new show.  My only advice for Kanye is he better put some new music to make people to forget about all this.

Nothing monumental with this performance, but I believe Rihanna’s vocals prove what I was saying… huh CJ?
