With the release of KOTB Vol. 1 approximately a week away, it was due time for another leak and “.38 Special” does more than fit the bill. The first time I heard “Time Traveller,” I let it repeat six to eight times trying to dissect & digest a different aspect of it each time. To this day, it still gives a certain rush, almost a refreshment, through my bloodstream when I hear it.

Somebody was asking for this yesterday and it reminded me of the first time I really heard the song.

By a random occurrence, I happened to meet Jack while he was in the studio working.

On the surface, the only way to describe him is to say he’s bubbly, eccentric, energetic & “Hollywood” like a motherfucker lol. You see him with the mirrored sunglasses & blown-out hair. He speaks with complete confidence, so much to the point where you think he’s arrogant when you pair it with some of the other attributes he has.

But once you start listening to him talk about music, you realize he knows his craft. Jack is truly one of those people who’s in love with the art, immersed in all the various genres and bent on blending the lines that might separate them & willingly breaking those same lines if he has to.
