Video: Lady Gaga Doesn’t Want You

06.01.09 Written by Gotty™

As you don’t fit the requirements.

The humorous thing is she’s either nuts (no pun) or one helluva actress because she amazingly said she likes big schlongs with a deadpan look on her face. I was waiting on her to ask the interviewer, “What, bitch? You don’t?”

You only have to watch the first thirty seconds to get the gist of what I’m speaking on. After that, ol’snowbunny was Read the rest of this entry »

Theophilus London x Emilio Sparks + TSS x Emilio Sparks

02.16.09 Written by David D.

Two Things:

1) The little chatbox on the top right-hand corner of H.E.R.’s site has provided me with some great gems over the last month or so. First, I was bumping Melo-X’s mixtape. Then I got slightly addicted to Theophilus London’s The Charming Mixtape. It’s a creative mix of soul, funk, futuristic vibes and the all-important ill lyricism. I’ve been listening to this guy for a while but I don’t know a damn thing about him. Thankfully, Theophilus stopped by for an interview with the one and only Emilio Sparks — which leads me to…

2) Thanks to majesty of Twitter, I started chopping it up with the homie Emilio about wrestling a few weeks back. We got so into the convo that he invited me to call in on his radio show (*plug* The Dego Show every Tuesday Night from 11-2 eastern time *plug*) Now Freshness is going to be Respected on the radio weekly as David D. will be representing TSS by calling in weekly to talk wrestling, Hip-Hop, comics and all the other things that make us desirable to the ladies. Click the link, add the show to your iTunes and radio streaming.

“Hip-Hop Monologues”

11.24.08 Written by TSSCrew

Words By Jesse H.

2006 was a big year for Jim Jones. Dipset was just peaking in popularity, and Jones’ signature “We Fly High” had as many spins as that year’s box office had sequels.

But, for those of you who went into hibernation between then and now, here’s a list of Jones’ notable contributions to Hip Hop since then:

*crickets*

What’s an artist to do to ratchet his buzz back up to a fever pitch? A slew of mixtapes? Been there, done that. A new dumb-out single? Sorry, the lacrosse team that lives down the hall can play it as many times as they want, I’m not buying “Pop Champagne” as a “We Fly High Part II” for multiple reasons, chiefly because it sounds exactly like “Arab Money” to me. Yawn. So, being the creative genius that he is, Jim Jones decided on…. what else? An off-Broadway play.

Yes, you read that correctly. From the minds of Jim Jones and…(gasp) Damon Dash, the world was bequeathed with “Hip-Hop Monologues: Inside the Life & Mind of Jim Jones,” a precursor to his upcoming Pray IV Reign, which drops January 2009 on Columbia. I mean, what could possibly go wrong with this project? Read the rest of this entry »

Killer Mike On Atlanta’s WREK 91.1

07.07.08 Written by TSSCrew

Words By Contraâ„¢

This is my first classic record. The other ones, I was practicing to make this record.”

Few people can match the musical fervor and dedication demonstrated by Killer Mike, especially lately.

Easily one of the most intelligent rappers around, Mike descended upon the WREK 91.1 FM studios in Atlanta this past Thursday, chopped it up with DJ Enchant’d and dropped knowledge on a wide array of subject matters – “Six In The Morning” vs. “Crank That,” his version of “A Milli,” Atlanta’s street wars & detailing “Pressure” – as well as an exclusive freestyle at the end of the interview. Normally when you’re doing any type of dirt the last thing you want to do is leave a paper trail behind you, it does nothing but make it easier for you to get caught. In light of his fed case, T.I. has decided that leaving a Paper Trail might not be such a bad idea. While reading an article on xxlmag.com, T.I. had this to say: Read the rest of this entry »

TSS Presents Fifteen Minutes With Shawty Lo

06.20.08 Written by Beware

With two singles from his debut album, Units In The City, burning up the airwaves across all fifty states, Shawty Lo has far surpassed the modest goal set by his album’s title. One of them, “Dey Know,” is questionably one of the hottest remix of the year thus far, laden with features and the beat has been a top choice for others “freestyles.” Not to mention, or really…how could we not mention, the man’s campaign for the title of “King of the South” is in full swing.

This past Monday, TSS Crew’s Beware had the opportunity to talk the self-proclaimed “Bankhead Boss” about his success, tribulations, trials and some guy named T.I.

Graphics By P.

TSS: Hello?

Shawty Lo: Okay.

TSS: Alright. Shawty L-O. I got you. Now we’re recording and ready to go. I apologize for puttin’ you through that hassle.

TSS: Okay.

TSS: So, like I was saying earlier…you had a big show at Phillips Arena this past weekend. Lots of guests. An interesting opening video. T.I. on the same bill. Break it down for me.

Shawty Lo: You know, it’s crazy, man. This was Birthday Bash #13, one of the biggest Birthday Bashes ever. So, about two weeks early, everybody wanted to see what Shawty Lo was gonna do and what T.I. was gonna do. So, I came and did my thang.

TSS: So, besides just doing your thing, rocking the mic obviously…I heard you were guys were kinda throwing some jabs at each others’ way. You put up a picture on the big-screen that said ‘A New King Is Born.’ What were trying to get across with that message? Read the rest of this entry »
