03.19.10 Written by TSSCrew

“Hey Mike… How my bracket look?”

Hopefully yesterday was favorable towards you & your bracket. But if your like most people (99.7% of the world) & had Georgetown advancing far in the tournament, just take solace that everyone is still on equal footing. But if you were one of those starry-eyed dreamers who had Richmond going far, just go sit in the corner. Murray State FTW!

We’re here to do it again, licking our wounds from yesterday & throwing our two cents in the ring.  Take a look at how we see the day unfolding and prepare for tip-off. Read the rest of this entry »

“I Grind” – Review Of Paul Wall’s Fast Life

05.27.09 Written by MZ

Grind would have to be the best word to describe the Houston Hip-Hop scene. It’s prevalent in both the lyrics and general maneuverings of most artists from the area. Sadly, instead of aiming for higher heights, he’s still caught up in living the Fast Life. Read the rest of this entry »

Back again for the second time the Red Bull Big Tune competition is in full swing, with Philly and Oakland already a wrap and Houston taking place TODAY, June 25. It doesn’t seem that long ago that Sabzi, of Blue Scholars and Common Market fame, edged out the competition to take the crown in the debut nation wide search, but with eight cities to hit you have to plan ahead. What begins as a regional battle of 12 producers in which the crowd elects their winner and representatives (two from each city), each region is represented in a 16 man final bout that will take place in New York this December.
