In all honesty, Sandman had never really caught my ear outside of his work with the Re-Up Gang, but his latest track to hit the net, “Just A MC,” is tough. The drum pattern grabs the listener’s ear immediately with a rambunctious combination of punchy kicks and dry snares that the Philly MC proceeds to ravage through like a speedboat in a creek.
