Torch Feat. Wale, Meek Mill, Stalley, Young Breed & Gunplay – “Slow Down”

02.06.12 Written by Greg Whitt

After Wale, Meek Mill and Pill joined the MMG roster, Rick Ross’ original dream team, Triple Cs, seemed to fade into the background. In a statement of unity, the whole crew, including recent signee Stalley but sans the ubiquitous Bawse, come together on Torch’s old-school free for all “Slow Down.” Read the rest of this entry »

Bow Wow – Greenlight 4 Mixtape

08.16.11 Written by J. Tinsley

By now, Bow Wow’s probably well aware what most of you think of his rap career. It’s fabricated. It’s the gift of networking at a young age. It’s long past its prime. That’s all well and dandy, but Shad’s not quitting his day job and looks to silence a few critics with his newly liberated Greenlight 4 mixtape. Read the rest of this entry »

Cory Gunz Feat. Meek Mill – “YMCMB MMG”

07.02.11 Written by Gotty™

Rap’s most notable acronym gangs combine forces as Young Money’s Cory Gunz calls on Maybach Music’s Meek for “YMCMB MMG.” The two drop respectable verses but I might have to give the nod to the Philly guy for wordplay here. Read the rest of this entry »

Put Yourself In Meek Mill’s Position

06.08.11 Written by J. Tinsley

By choice or by force, becoming acclamated to Meek Mill’s music is something I’m having no control over. My people from Philly have been championing buddy as the next great hype from the City of Brotherly Love for years. Low and behold now, he is slowly but surely making himself a common name amongst casual Hip Hop fans. Read the rest of this entry »

Rick Ross Feat. Meek Mill & Gunplay – “Finals”

06.02.11 Written by TC

The Miami Heat haven’t won the NBA championship (yet) but Ricky Rozay couldn’t contain his excitement so the MMG is going to rally support for the cause. This isn’t anything new in terms of creativity by any means. It’s more like an overtime quarter. But LeBron and the boys have the momentum and Ross is from MIA. You do the math. Estelle Feat. Rick Ross – “Break My Heart”

05.22.11 Written by J. Tinsley

This time of the year, I judge music by cookout standards. Would it get played in the first place? And if so, at what point does it come on? Of course it’s odd, but it’s something I’ve been doing for years mainly because I love cookouts nearly as much as I love music; if not more. Estelle’s tag team collaboration with Rozay, “Break My Heart,” feels as if it would be better suited Read the rest of this entry »

Gunplay Feat. Waka Flocka – “Rollin’” Video

01.12.11 Written by J. Tinsley

To those who make it their mission to sit in basements or libraries all day ready to pull the trigger and comment on anything they deem detrimental to “real Hip-Hop,” go read something else. Or stay here, it doesn’t matter. Gunplay, of Triple C’s fame, is not the most lyrically adept brother in the business; Waka Flocka isn’t either. Still, I’d be lying to you if I said I didn’t appreciate their energy drenched collaboration “Rollin’.” Read the rest of this entry »

“Diamonds & Maybachs…”

12.08.09 Written by J. Tinsley

rick-ross-triple-cs-main

Gauging from the numbers, not many of you heard Triple C’s debut offering, Custom Cars & Cycles. Shame. If you did, then you know TC wasn’t lying when he noted how dope “Diamonds & Maybachs Pt. 2″ turned out to be. The Transformerz laced the Miami quartet with one of the smoothest and sickest instrumentals of the calendar year and Suede Royale more than adequately executed the hook. A ghetto symphony some would say. Read the rest of this entry »

“Break It Down” – Review Of Triple C’s Custom Cars & Cycles

11.27.09 Written by TC

custom-cars-cycles

The only thing bigger than Rick Ross’ illusion of grandeur is the level of awareness he’s been able to create for his work. Still somewhat tingling from the buzz off Deeper Than Rap (and his manufactured feud with 50 Cent), the trillionaire proceeds to take a page out the G-Unit manual as he looks to share the wealth with his own crew Triple C’s (Carol City Cartel) on their plush yet predictable collaborative effort Custom Cars & Cycles. Rick Ross Feat. Gunplay – “Gunplay” Video

07.15.09 Written by TC

When he’s not slangin’ freshmakers (or cocaina for that matter,) the biggest boss Rick Ross is back to his day job: making videos for Deeper Than Rap. Before the year’s up, you’ll be able to watch the entire album. And if you’re looking for other Bawse material, look no further Read the rest of this entry »
