Given the self-deprecating relationship Hip-Hop has with its elders, it didn’t come as too much surprise when Southern legends 8Ball & MJG decided to trail off into platinum pastures, joining Diddy Combs’ Bad Boy Records in 2004. The duo enjoyed moderate success before the deal soured — as their known to do over at Daddy’s House — but having a such a credible track record, the boys from Orange Mound were able to land on both feet over at T.I.’s Grand Hustle headquarters. Not only does Bobby Ray have a concrete release date, Ball an ‘G are gearing up for their next album as well. One day before Cinco de Mayo, the living legends will show their Ten Toes Down in the game.
