Chris Lova Lova made sure he got those Ferrari Boyz on his most recent mixtape in some form or fashion and the results were well worth it, specifically in Gucci’s case. While the clip to “Rich & Flexin’” harbors on the type of in-your-face action that Luda has made his trademark and BET musical shows are sorely lacking these days, the video for “Shake N Fries” reminds us all why it pays to be an “ass man” in rap music. The latter’s the case for Travis Porter, who – believe it or not – happen to be a group of tight-jean-wearing faux-hawks, instead of only one person as the name would indicate. Let’s overlook the less than stellar cover and take heart in the idea that FKi has managed to knock out a few catchy tracks – most notably “Weeds & Arizonas” & “Red Cup” – and their cosigns coming out the A are pretty good. Given those two factors, I’ll go out on a sturdy limb and say that Zoolandish is worth a cursory listen at the very least and should have more than a couple of tracks that become playlist-worthy.
