
Back in the day, diggin’ in the crates meant when you found some sort of unearthed sample ready to be transformed into groundbreaking Hip-Hop, it was yours and yours alone for the sole glory. In the age of the Internet, the same chop, loop or break you’re eyeing could very already be in the process of being worked on. Just last year, British synthpop duo La Roux created a timeless, disco number named “In For The Kill” which went on to be remixed by dubstep wonder Skream.
