There are a lot of reasons to second guess Cormega’s new visual featuring a ’90 All-Star squad. That said, there are also five reasons not to (six, if you count the beat). First off, so what if the video for “Fresh” looks like marionette crayon drawings and leaves Big Daddy Kane looking like Muhammad Ali? Have you ever tried computer animation? It’s impossible. Does it matter this single from Mega’s Born & Raised album that came out two years ago? Not on TSS. Lastly, even though these MCs are passed their prime for the most part, are we going pass on an opportunity to pay homage to these foundation layers, just because of this slice of awkwardness? Never that.

One piece of advice though. As a fan, if these are your prized MCs and you’ve been wanting to enlighten your youngbloods, please refrain from sharing this video. The animation might frighten them.

In a strange turn of events, Freddie Foxxx apologized for brawling with a fan @ SOBs last week. He might have a new adversary now though. Mega Montana has never been one to back down to a challenge and here he picks up the mic to send a few lines Freddie’s way in response to the shots sent @ by Bumpy previously.

“Freddie Foxxx wanna say he made me, that’s incorrect/That’s like Morris Day wanting praise for Prince success.”

It could get hectic, but let’s hope it all stays on wax.

Do you see the facial expressions of those cats in the background? Do you see the size of Freddie’s hands in the picture below? Is there a reason you try to go one-on-one with this dude?

A week or so ago, there was the release of a diss track where Bumpy went @ Premo Guru and Cormega. Originally, no one could place whether the track was old or new but I still started to say how it was bogus for him to go @ both dudes like that, especially since they all seemed to run in the same circles. Then, I pushed myself back from the keyboard and thought “there’s always a one in one million chance that you could end up in a dark alley with Freddie and you won’t have a weapon. Are you willing to take that chance? Do you really want to pull that thread?” Figuring he wasn’t talking about me, I deemed it none of my blogging business lol. A few days later, I read Cormega essentially saying let’s keep it on wax. Now, I’ve never pictured Mega as a punk. But even he knew that rusty ass .380 he carries was no match. Looking at the picture above, it looks like Premo’s cool with Freddie as well.

But what the fuck is wrong with dude in the purple shirt?

I bet he’s with Dip Set or something. Or is that goddamn Black Rob?

Mega Montana releases the first video for his third studio album, Born & Raised. Directed by Brian “Deka” Paupaw, the clip is a montage of photos displaying the life of the QB emcee.

For your weekend perusal, the guys @ The Hip-Hop Project got together with Cormega & Legal Hustle to drop a mixtape before Mega’s album drops. The Urban Legend mixtape is a collection of Mega B-sides, collaborations, unreleased songs and the ilk. Hopefully, it will also help open the ears to those still unaware of Cormega’s place in the game.
