A few days ago, the city of Atlanta was excited about its beloved Hawks ending the Miami Heat’s undefeated season. Ahh, the All-Star selections. It’s this time of year where a collective groan lets out from basketball nerds across the internet. This year’s ASG rosters has some good picks, but they leave much to be desired as usual. More importantly, there isn’t much leeway for replacement picks so far. All the players involved are either healthy or expected to heal from injuries, outside of the dubious fan vote for Yao Ming. I thought the lion’s share of Miami Heat hate in the Midwest came from the mistake by the lake. Except now it looks like Chicago—or at least some intrepid Bulls fans—are trailing in a close second with their SMH Hall Of Fame nominee, “Lets Beat the Heat.” Honestly this video is terrible: like public access terrible. Additionally you’ll probably wonder what the hell is going on as the flick transpires. For instance, how do these dudes have such an incredible collection of toys and stuffed animals? Or, what’s with_the odd_underscore placement_?

Ultimately, I found it best to just watch and not question any of it.

Chicago plays Miami at home on January 15th, 2011. I think the franchise ought to break tradition and play this video as they call the Bulls’ starting lineup. Imagine how hyped the fans will get when they see one of their own leading the charge. More importantly, I’m sure Norbel, Bosh and “DeWade” will freeze as soon as they hear the first notes of the imitation “Beat It” rendered over a Casio keyboard.
