I’m not one to share nor really care to watch videos of rappers on talk shows. They’re generally boring and only cover the basic talking points with the host having faint knowledge of the artist beyond what the producer or intern just told them seconds before the rapper hit the stage. Ms. Badu drops by Chelsea’s place & speaks on the new album, the “Window Seat” video, her Medusa effect & how she snares her rappers.  Jay Electronica better get it crackin’ on an album because no matter how long he’s with her, his days are numbered. In usual Chelsea fashion, the exchange is short, but engaging and really covers a good amount of territory.  Probably the most revealing tidibt was Erykah’s mom’s reaction to “Ms. Jackson.”  Momma went the whole nine yards when it came out.

Haven’t watched a full episode of Chelsea in a while, mainly because I’ve become hooked on watching Will & Grace and then Frasier on Lifetime. But I still love to watch view clips because, unlike a lot of hosts, Chelsea doesn’t schmooze her guests too heavily so they have to be on their P’s & Q’s…otherwise she’ll mock them under the chair, all while wearing a smug smile.
