Jim Jones is an interesting, if not extremely polarizing figure in the world of Hip-Hop. He is typically either loved or hated for his gruff voice, ostensible shouting and adherence to an almost antiquated Diplomats movement. Let me know if I’m reaching, but does Jim Jones’ flow on this sound identical to everyone’s flow on the “Hustle Hard (Remix)”? It’s neither a beneficial or detrimental factor for Jones, who has never been confused for the next coming of Big L anyway, but an interesting tidbit as the song gets filed away. Flex debuted Jimmy’s next single, “Everybody Jones,” and it’s full of bottoming bass from another era when doing The Wop at a party meant you were cool. Thankfully, LaCrate’s production is thundering enough to overshadow Flexx’s penchant for dropping bombs. I guess the he felt charged after the listen and we understand why.

Capo drops on April 5th.

I was that close to titling this “Curren$y featuring two lame dudes” because Spitta’s verse is the only reason I’m subjecting you to the video. Since 2/3′s of those listed are former members of the Cash Money roster, I’m guessing that’s the relationship, even though I have no idea who “Capo” is or what exactly he’s in charge of. And Gotti (no relation)? Maybe he couldn’t get off work in time to make the video shoot. Who knows.
