As it seems, Snoop is setting himself up to have a video for every song on Doggumentary. Not too uncommon for 2011 but when you consider that it’s a 21-track LP, the conditions become a little more eye-opening. While Tha Dogg is far from a Nobel Peace Prize-winning pundit, he still knows how to influence the youth in the making the right choices. So, I think my mans shot me a link to new music from DJ Quik’s cousin or Battlecat’s little brother, because I don’t know who the hell Dam-Funk is but his music is on some straight-out-of-Cali-hydroponic-lo-fi-funk type shit. Even at only seven tracks, the tremendous Toeachizown Vol. 1 : LATrik instrumental tape is full of enough moody moogs, ripping synth basslines and high-pitched blips to make up for the cold cup of coffee decaying next to me.
