Not a lot of rappers make hit singles. Even less see longevity. The few that happen to fall into both categories are hip-hop hall-of-famers. Mr. Chief’s latest release, Assuming Power, does not feature many hit singles. It does, however, showcase enough across-the-board substance to safely assume the relatively young Redford, MI rapper has the potential to see his career out as long as his beaten heart desires.
