Some songs have video concepts built in (i.e. “Maybach Music”), while others are simply asking for a treatment to be pulled out of thin air. Typically, when the latter is left reaching, the result can be a stretch. Considering Mike Posner’s not-so-groovy, new visual for “Bow Chicka Wow Wow” features Ben-Wallace-afros, Adam West/Batman-transitions and hippy costumes similar to the one my mother made for my Halloween festivities back in 1995, this literally might not be the best look. First of all, whether you like his music or not, you’ve got to admit Mike Posner has one of the cleaner line-ups you’ve ever seen on a whiteboy. Aside from that bit of guy jealousy, this Metro Detroit pop prodigy just released his brand new video for the best song off his debut, 31 Minutes To Takeoff. Like the majority of his jams, this well-directed visual for “Please Don’t Go” finds Mikey P dramatically chasing tail, even though it’s laying right next to him in bed.
