5 CIGARETTES

A MASTERPIECE – Not a “classic” because that word includes the time and we all know if we could predict the future, we would have submitted our blueprints for the internet years ago.
However, you can make assumptions & educated guesses. An album with a five rating will be a crown jewel. A rating like this is achievable through an album with the majority of extremely strong cuts that fit well in the artist’s persona. One of those albums that make everybody’s head spin around for months to come and most likely win some awards, both critically and/or commercially.
4 CIGARETTES

Impressive body of work. Naturally there’s songs that could’ve been left off but overall it’s a winner artistically. Good flow of things and easily worth your money, no question. Nice for building character in the artist’s catalog. In one word, it’s “FRESH.”
3 CIGARETTES

Basically one that leaves fans split down the middle. Definitely some bright spots but the weaker moments are bad enough to offset the positive contributions. Could either be that the artist exceeded expectations on what would otherwise be a snoozer or maybe a couple of blunders forced the album’s potential to go down south. This rating is not terrible because the album contains something for everybody. But just not enough material to please them immensely.
2 CIGARETTES

Just Average Joe work. Probably has a strong single or two but plenty of redundant and or rehashed topics. Plenty of low caliber rhymes/singing and or beats. Pretty much a weak outing in most, if not all, aspects.
1 CIGARETTE

A weak album. Straight up. Not even worthy of being used to break up weed or throw as a frisbee. Save the hard drive space for something more worthwhile.
