Whatever Meek Mill does with sophomore album, part of me feels comforted knowing it can’t bomb any worse than his debut. That’s not saying the first one was complete weed plate material, but it’s also saying Dreams & Nightmares did absolutely nothing for the kid sans two or three tracks.
Nevertheless, Meek’s sophomore set, Dreams Worth More Than Money, is slated to touch down later this year. And given how much I’ve rocked with the Philadelphia Flyer for years now, I’m still hoping the new project delivers where his introduction fell short. “I Don’t Know” is allegedly dubbed as the first official single from the project. Call me crazy, but Honorable C.N.O.T.E and Cy Fyre-produced number sounds like one of those records that would be performed at festivals all summer.
Does that mean I’m dubbing it a runaway smash single? Not exactly, but Paloma Ford’s hook gives it a sense of accessibility that’s almost impossible to ignore.
