Fun Fact: a 31-year-old can get arrested for pretending to be a high school sophomore.

Fun Fact 2: a 31-year-old was arrested for pretending to be a high school sophomore.

Fifteen-year-old Charity Stevens spent the majority of last academic year enrolled as a sophomore at New Life Christian School in Longview, Texas. Which would be cool as hell if she were 15. Or actually named Charity Stevens. But because what’s your news day without a nice, weird story, it was recently discovered that Charity Stevens, 15-year-old sophomore, is actually Charity Anne Johnson, 31-year-old weirdo.

Per KLTV, Johnson duped a Texas couple to take her in as an orphan, and went on to get enrolled at New Life last October.

“A spokesperson for the school said Johnson was brought in to enroll with a person who was her guardian. She enrolled in the school, giving a date of birth that indicated she was 15. On Tuesday, staff at the school discovered her identification was fake. She had been a student there since October 2013.”

The school promptly contacted the authorities. Johnson was then arrested “on charges including failure to identify/giving false, fictitious information.”

The lesson: Don’t… enroll yourself as a sophomore in high school when the 31-year-old world gets too tough? Or if you do, don’t get caught? Or maybe just don’t have kids so you don’t have to worry about creeps. That’s probably it.
