Why do G-Unit affairs always have to be so corny? Yeah, it’s 2014 and the group isn’t on anybody’s must-follow list. But some of us still go back to Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ and Straight Outta Ca$hville from time to time.
Before you even hit play on “Devils Advocate,” the sight of Tony Yayo and Young Buck on a track together should inspire some intrigue. Maybe they take shots at 50 for being a dickhead. Maybe they carve something of a lane for themselves, creating excitement for Yayo’s El Chapo 3.
Nah. None of the above. Yayo sounds lost, and some decent bars from Young Buck aren’t going to inspire you to listen to “Advocate” over a sea of more worthy songs. Maybe next time the duo can call out their former employer by name.
