Kevin Durant’s Game-Winning Dunk Vs. Pistons Locked Up Oklahoma City’s Two Seed

Midway through the fourth quarter the Thunder were losing to the Pistons and I was emailing Tins jokes about OKC falling to the three seed and LeBron still winning the MVP.

Yeah, about that.

Kevin Durant finished the last game of the regular season with 42 points, 21 in the fourth and the last two were the ones that locked up the 112-111 win over Detroit and the two seed for KD and friends. Those two came on a monstrous two handed dunk over Kyle Singler and Greg Monroe and will serve as the official cherry on top of his MVP season with 16.5 seconds left in regulation.

Durant finishes with a league leading 32.01 points per game, joining only Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlin as the only players to ever lead the league in points for five straight seasons.

With the win and two seed clinched the Thunder will open the playoffs against the Grizzlies on Saturday, avoiding the BasedGod and his Warriors in the process, and KD made damn sure of it.
