Pistons Kyle Singler Thought It Would Be A Good Idea To Jump With DeMar DeRozan

Down 105-99 to the Atlantic Division champion Toronto Raptors with more than three minutes remaining, the Pistons were still well within striking range.

Then DeMar DeRozan happened.

Paired with Andre Drummound at the top of the key, Detroit was without any sort of rim protection and the recipient of one hell of a mismatch. DeMar’s first step was too much for Dre and before anyone realized what was going on, the Southern California native was barreling towards the rim. Already known as one of the league’s definitive jumpers, Kyle Singler figured he’d test his luck and meet him DeRozan at the summit.

Only Kyle never got close to summit. And just like that, the game was over.

Related: The Rap’s 116-107 win combined with Chicago’s loss in New York leave both teams at 47-33 records with two games left to play, respectively. If both teams finish with the same record, Toronto will be awarded the third seed due to owning the tiebreaker.
