Quick question. What’s the better product to come out of Akron: LeBron James or The Black Keys?

Depending on one’s taste, there’s no true wrong answer. And pending The King helps the Heat complete their three peat in June, the city could be enjoying a summer’s full off unparalleled success. The reason being because TBK are in the final stages of preparing the release of their long-awaited Turn Blue LP; the follow up to 2011′s massively successful El Camino.

As for feedback on the album’s title track? Much like the music from yesteryear, “Turn Blue” is a hypnotic journey into minds of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, only in 2014 form. Nothing’s overdone on the record. Instead, the lyrics appear to be more of a co-pilot for the instrumentation that’s almost sure to have fans of the duo zoning out. Personally, I can’t wait to get this baby in the car and hear it on the highway amongst the sounds of the world – the method I’m positive The Keys would prefer the music to be taken in.

Turn Blue hits shelves May 13. I can’t wait to see people’s reaction in my car when I go from YG’s My Krazy Life immediately into The Keys’ new project. Variety is the spice of life, they say.

Disclaimer: It’s probably best to press play but avoid watching the actual video. Because vision.
