But before labeling the Toronto songbird M.I.A. (missing in action, not the singer), realize time away from our little cozy corner of the Internet has been well served. She’s toured the country with Jesse Ware, been nominated for a SiriusXM Indie Award for Soul/R&B artist of the year, appeared on Red Bull Music Academy’s HASHTAG series and served as a co-writer and vocalist on Childish Gambino’s “Telegraph Ave.” found on Because The Internet.
So, see, Jordan’s been anything but a disappearing act.
“Follow Me” is the lead single from Rochelle’s forthcoming EP set to drop at the top of 2014. Jordan and partner-in-musical-crime KLSH exhibit the natural chemistry that had fans fall smitten with her music way back when.
R&B had a pretty impressive year in 2013, setting the stage for perhaps an even bigger 2014. Hopefully, Jordan’s a part of that crop. The time is coming for her to shed of that “underrated” label for good. Let the masses hear those beautiful pipes, babygirl!
