Migos Add Their Midas Touch To Drake’s “Trophies”

Probably because Drake’s triumphant, horn-laced “Trophies” just dropped and Migos have already blessed it with their raps, I couldn’t help thinking of this interview where the three Musketeers explained their “20 minute rule.” The self-imposed edict states that if their verse isn’t done in that time, then Offset, Takeoff, or Quavo are out of the booth and it’s on to the next one.

Despite their…interesting work ethic, “Trophies” still sounds as good as it did when it initially dropped, which most will attribute to Hit-Boy’s production. Drake might in the upper echelon of rap, but he’s still kind of goofy and has that relatable feeling to him – thank you, “Started From The Bottom” – which Migos seemed to have tapped into as of late.
