Meek Mill’s debut album didn’t make quite the splash that many expected coming on the heels of hits like “Tupac Back,”I’ma Boss,” and “Amen.” In an effort to rekindle the flame that lit up the charts during his first tour of duty with MMG, Meek is back with the third installment of his Dreamchasers mixtape series. The first leak from the tape is the defiant ode to stunting, “Make Me.”
Taking a page from the book of Martin Future King, Meek chooses an off key warble to make his point instead of his usual diet of all caps raps.Though the new flow is a bit unexpected, it’s not hard to imagine a VIP section full of drunken overspenders slurring this at one another at ungodly volumes. MMG season two is here, and all eyes are on Meek.
The Philadelphia spitter returns to the spotlight when DC3 releases on September 29.
